zzzz10Madrid .- Mazda has already revealed the insides of the new CX-7 SUV brand, with changes affecting every angle.
Outwardly, it has increased the size of the lower grille, now enclosed in a silver frame (on the Luxury version), just as the fog lights. The application of some finishes side moldings and a new rear bumper, providing a new image that the brand has been strengthened with new colors and wheels 18 “and 19″ and a larger rear spoiler as standard for the Sportive.

in the carrier has improved the quality of materials and attention has been paid to the smallest details such as vents, which are now chrome, the deep of the armrest or the back wheel and the multifunction display and browser built into the dashboard (standard on Luxury and Active +), which also serves as a screen for rear view camera. Comfort also has gained from the restyling, thanks to better soundproofing and equipment such as electric adjustable front seats (driver with memory). The Active + and Luxury versions also gain automatic lights and rain sensor.

2.3 DISI Turbo engine, 4-cylinder remains in the engine compartment of the Mazda CX-7, but has been thoroughly reworked for the occasion. Equipped with direct injection now, now offers a 10% higher torque at 3,000 rpm due to the cooling effect of this system in the combustion chamber. The concave shape of the pistons and the ability to inject fuel in the compression phase are also partly responsible for this improved performance. Although also delivers 260 hp at 5,500 rpm, torque of 380 Nm ensures a better response in driving dynamics, and is now able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 211 km / h .

The most marked, however, brings the diesel engine developed specifically for the European market. Thanks to this engine, the Mazda CX-7 removes the handicap he suffered against rivals like the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLK, the Audi Q5, Ford Kuga and Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C-Crosser, among others, have one or more options with this type of feeding.

Like gasoline, it is also a tetracilíndricas, in this case the 2.2-liter, which delivers 173 hp at 3,500 rpm thanks to the use of a small cooled variable-geometry turbocharger via an intercooler and fuel system by direct injection common-rail. The torque of 400 Nm from 2,000 rpm, also is demonstrating the possibilities of this engine, which launches the CX-7 to 200 km / h, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.3 seconds is a both discrete. The average consumption is 7.5 l/100 km. Another novelty of this mechanical system is the selective catalytic reduction SCR, which through a natural chemical reaction can transform the NOx emissions into nitrogen and water. This, coupled with the DPF particulate filter allows the CX-7 2.2 CRTD drastically reduce pollutant emissions.

Both share the same mechanical gearbox used in the previous version, although the
diesel has lengthened the development of the sixth gear to optimize

This transmission is associated with all-wheel drive system with active torque distribution, which has a unit that analyzes the information received from different sensors to know the steering angle, yaw rate, wheel speed, strength lateral G and throttle position. Thereafter, the electronic control module distributes drive torque between two shafts using a coupling installed in front of the rear differential, which can receive up to 50% of engine power.

The increased torsional rigidity by 5%, also contributes to improving the performance of Mazda’s new compact SUV and the new damper, which allows active safety systems (DSC with TCS, ABS, EBD, etc) a greater efficiency in its operation.
