Mazda has built the first RX-8 Hydrogen for Norway

Mazda has announced that it has built the first RX-8 Hydrogen RE in Norway, with specific, developed specifically for participation in HyNor, or the Hydrogen Road of Norway. The model will take part in the opening ceremony in Oslo on 11 May of the first station supply of hydrogen, the first distributor of the road between the capital and Stavanger, the way of hydrogen 580 km long, which will have other stations.
Subsequent RX-8 Hydrogen RE will be certified to meet local standards and will be used for the training of maintenance personnel. Mazda plans to begin leasing the RX-8 Hydrogen RE in the next summer.
The RX-8 Hydrogen RE is equipped with the Renesis rotary engine that, for its architecture, is more suited to the combustion of hydrogen than a piston engine. E ‘dual combustion and allows the driver to switch to petrol mode when needs it, and when hydrogen is available.
