Mazda is in talks with Toyota for hybrid technology to acquire the largest manufacturer in the world: according to Reuters, the news beat the Japanese financial newspaper Nikkei is definitely reliable, despite the two carmakers have officially denied any contacts.

Hybrid cars marked Mazda reach European markets over the next decade, through a process of expansion that will be gradual. Nothing "icons" style Prius or Insight, however: Mazda engine mount hybrid only on already existing models, or on future generations of the same.

Only a few months ago, Mazda announced that he would not have made any plan for development of hybrid or electric cars. Strange ad's zoom-zoom, on March 26, Mazda said no to hybrids clearly through the head of R & D, Seita Kanai. The explanation held by developing diesel becoming cleaner, less weight, aerodynamics and optimized links below ground vehicles. The latter will reach the same level of pollution that a hybrid while spending less on research and the goal is to reduce by 30% the overall fleet by 6 years. Apparently a turning point has been made because a change has just been published, Mazda will introduce from 2015 and electric hybrids.
